Captain Bert specializes in Walleye, Steelhead, and Perch fishing in the Central Basin of Lake Erie. We provide all the rods, reels, tackle, bait, and ice for the fish on board. Your catch will be cleaned or left whole, your choice-- for no additional cost. (Walleye and Steelhead only, Perch is an additional cost)

We welcomed Paul aboard Reel Obsession in the spring of 2022.
Paul is a lifelong resident of Erie Pennsylvania, and has fished Lake Erie his entire life. He came aboard with the knowledge and capability of running a full, 16-rod spread with little to no guidance. His lifelong background of Fishing Lake Erie has proven his ability to target any given species that Lake Erie has to offer.
Paul has fished many local tournaments over the years, bringing home several top three finishes, along with his share of first place finishes.
In his spare time, he enjoys taking his own boat offshore to target steelhead-- one of his favorite Lake Erie species to catch. Paul’s knowledge of finding and catching these awesome fighting fish is a huge benefit to myself and all our customers.
In the spring and fall, you can often find him making the trip to Lake Ontario to target King Salmon. Paul's knowledge and ability to run the back of the boat and target any given species has proven to fill the coolers day after day, and has helped make Reel Obsession one of the top charters out of Erie Pennsylvania.
